Master of Library and Information Science (Coursework)

• A Bachelor’s degree with Honours with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 or equivalent; or
• A Bachelor’s degree with work experience of at least three (3) years in a library or an information centre; or
• Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) with work experience of at least ten (10) years in a library or an information centre; or
• Applicants with a Bachelor’s CGPA of 2.70 – 2.99 can be considered if they meet at least one of the following criteria:a. Have relevant work experience;
  b. Have published in respective fields;
  c. Are recipients of scholarship;
  d. Are graduates of the University of Malaya.
• Applicants with a Bachelor’s CGPA of 2.50 – 2.69 may be considered if they meet at least two of the criteria in (a) to (d) above.
• Graduates of University of Malaya with a Bachelor’s CGPA of 2.10 – 2.49 and have at least 5 years of relevant work experience or one (1) publication in an ISI-indexed journal may be considered.

TOEFL – 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT), 80 (IBT); OR

Pass in any equivalent English proficiency test approved and recognized by the University of Malaya
