In this course, you will learn how to design and develop products from client brief to end product. You will gain the skill set to use drawings, 3D models and computer designs to express ideas. You will also be able to explore the various technology and production methods as well as understand material characteristic to develop a product design. You will learn the working relationship of a designer and other important roles such as engineers, model makers, sales and marketing staff and other colleagues in getting a product developed.

| Matriculation/ Foundation | Recognized Matriculation or Foundation with CGPA 2.00; OR |
| Other | A qualification that APIIT accepts as equivalent to the above. Sketch work and finished drawings |
| Portfolio of Art & Design work | Photographs of models or other 3D works of Arts, illustration, photography etc. Examples of your computer skills. Please bring in sketch ideas for a “new personal communication device.” |
| TOEFL | 79-80 (Internet Based Test), 550 (Paper Based Test), 213 (Computer Based Test) |
| IELTS | Band 6.0 |
| Others | Other Certifications or Evidence of English Proficiency that APU accepts as equivalent to the above. Applicants who do not possess the above will be required to attend the APU Intensive English Programme (IEP) prior to the commencement of the programme. |
