Master of Applied Sciences is a full research programme designed to develop the research capability and scholarly practice of those who aspire to become researchers in the fields of applied sciences. This programme provides an opportunity for candidates to extend their development beyond scholarly understanding and practice to include the capacity to conduct research within an area of interest in the field of applied sciences. The fields include any areas of Agricultural Science, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Science, Bio resource Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Food Science, Health Science, Herbal Medicine, Microbiology, Mathematics, Materials Science and Physics. The programme is intended for students who have a first degree in applied sciences or related fields e.g. biotechnology, botany, zoology, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology and agriculture, who are engaged in, or moving towards, leadership roles within their professional sectors.
