The Industrial Design course begins with a grounding in design fundamentals, and later focuses on the study of aesthetics, functions, use of materials and manufacturing processes. Industrial Design students will have the opportunity to develop innovative designs for human needs and improve the quality of living. This course emphasizes hands-on skills and methods for solving design problems. Our students will be trained in various aspects of design, from original ideas to building 3-D prototypes while learning the manufacturing processes and marketing strategies. Design projects cover areas such as consumer goods, leisure and sporting equipment, workshop machinery and hardware, medical and educational equipment, products for disabled people, electronics and design for transportation.

Entry Requirements
Education Level | Results |
SPM | SPM with minimum 3 credits in any subjects and passes in Bahasa Malaysia and Sejarah; or |
UEC | UEC with minimum 3 Grade B in any subjects; or |
O-Level | O-Level with minimum 3 Grade C in any subjects; or |
Others | Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian government; AND |
Others | Submit a minimum of five (5) A3 size (420 mm x 297 mm) drawings / paintings / designs (personal choice of media, technique and subject matter). |
