Description

The Master in Medical Ultrasonography is an advanced programme for healthcare professionals who want to deepen their expertise in diagnostic ultrasound imaging. Students build on their clinical background to develop advanced scanning skills, a stronger understanding of sectional anatomy, pathology and imaging physics, and the ability to interpret complex cases with accuracy and confidence. The programme also develops research and critical thinking skills, preparing students to contribute to evidence-based practice in medical imaging.

Graduates are well positioned for senior roles such as advanced sonographer, clinical specialist, imaging department supervisor, or clinical instructor and lecturer in medical imaging. The programme suits radiographers and other qualified health professionals who want to progress into specialist, leadership or academic roles.

Entry Requirement

  • Holds a Bachelor’s Degree, Level 6 MQF, in an allied health field (such as Diagnostic Radiography, Nursing / Midwifery, Biomedical Science / Technology or Medicine) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, subject to rigorous internal assessment.

  • Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
  • or APEL.A T-7, subject to applicable requirements and assessment.
