The Doctor of Philosophy (Engineering) is a full research postgraduate programme focused on advancing engineering research and theoretical knowledge across fields such as electrical, mechanical, civil and petroleum engineering, the programme develops students’ competencies in issue analysis, conceptualisation, research planning and the application of research outcomes in industry or commercial settings, with thesis and publications forming the main requirements for completion, students also undertake Research Methodology coursework to strengthen their research, presentation and publication skills while gaining opportunities to participate in engineering conferences, seminars, journal clubs and technical workshops
