Description

The Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at International Medical University (IMU) is a prestigious five‑year full‑time undergraduate medical degree designed to prepare future doctors with strong medical knowledge, clinical skills, and professional values. The MBBS curriculum combines an integrated medical sciences foundation with early clinical exposure and intensive clinical training, ensuring students gain both theoretical understanding and real‑world experience in patient care. Students study basic and clinical sciences and progress to hands‑on placements in hospitals and healthcare settings, including senior clerkships, to build confidence and competence for housemanship and medical practice. IMU’s MBBS degree is recognised by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), and it is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools. Graduates are well‑positioned for careers in healthcare and further postgraduate training, with pathways to partner universities overseas and opportunities in research, leadership, and global health.
