Description

The Bachelor of Chinese Medicine (Honours) at IMU University is a comprehensive five‑year full‑time undergraduate programme that integrates traditional Chinese medical wisdom with modern Western medical science, preparing students to become competent, ethical, and professional Chinese Medicine practitioners. Taught primarily in English with Mandarin support when needed, the curriculum covers foundational biomedical sciences alongside core Chinese Medicine subjects such as herbal therapy, acupuncture, moxibustion, tuina, diagnosis, internal medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, and clinical practicum. Students gain early exposure to clinical skills and progress to supervised clinical attachments at IMU’s Chinese Medicine Centre and approved external sites, enhancing practical experience and patient care competence. IMU’s distinctive approach emphasizes critical thinking, holistic care, and lifelong learning, supported by personalised attention from experienced lecturers and opportunities for credit transfer to partner universities in China and Australia. Upon graduation, students are eligible for professional registration and equipped for careers locally and globally in healthcare, research, and community practice.
