Description
The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Applied Psychology is a research-focused postgraduate programme designed for individuals who wish to deepen their understanding of psychological principles and apply them to real-world contexts. Through an independent research project supervised by experienced academics, candidates investigate specialised areas such as behavioural science, mental health, cognitive psychology, organisational psychology, developmental psychology or social psychology. The programme emphasises advanced research methodology, critical thinking, experimental design, data analysis and scientific writing, supported by access to relevant research tools and academic resources. Students develop strong analytical and professional skills while contributing new insights to human behaviour and psychological practice. This MPhil provides a strong foundation for progression to a PhD or careers in academic research, counselling support services, organisational development, community mental health, educational psychology and various psychology-driven professional fields.
