This programme is strategically positioned to enable students to undertake information systems research that is theoretically and methodologically rigorous, and enables them to develop the capability to plan, organise and carry out research studies at master’s level. It extends student's knowledge of research in the chosen area, and builds skills in communicating research work.

Entry Requirement

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
  • or a CGPA between 2.00 and 3.00 in Computing or related fields subject to internal assessment
  • or a Bachelor’s degree in a non-Computing field with CGPA ≥ 2.50 subject to internal assessment and completion of appropriate prerequisite courses based on work experience, or subject to prerequisite courses if no relevant work experience.

  • Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia must fulfil the following requirement: i. with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
  • OR ii. with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 but less than of 3.00 can be accepted subject to internal assessment
