The Bachelor of Optometry (Honours) programme prepares students for careers in primary eye and vision care by providing a strong foundation in vision science, ocular health and clinical optometric practice. Students develop the knowledge and professional skills required to assess visual function and eye health, support the management of appropriate conditions and provide patient-centred care within multidisciplinary healthcare environments. Graduates may pursue career opportunities in private practices, optical retail, healthcare settings, community eye-care services and the ophthalmic industry. Upon successful completion of the programme, Malaysian graduates may apply for registration with the Malaysian Optical Council, subject to the applicable requirements
