Description

The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) programme at AIMST University is a four-year programme designed to prepare students for careers in patient care and rehabilitation by equipping them with advanced knowledge and practical skills to manage various health conditions, including neurological, cardiorespiratory, musculoskeletal, and other debilitating disorders. Through the application of advanced physiotherapy techniques, students develop the ability to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and restore muscle function to enhance patients’ quality of life. The programme covers areas such as functional anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, psychology fundamentals, physiotherapy rehabilitation, clinical practice, and health science research. Students also gain hands-on experience in muscle and nerve regulation techniques, therapeutic exercise programmes, and the use of electrotherapy modalities, preparing them to provide effective rehabilitation services in the healthcare industry

Entry Requirement

  • Minimum GPA of 2.33 in 2 subjects including Biology, Physics or Mathematics, and Chemistry

  • Minimum Grade D in 2 subjects including Biology, Physics or Mathematics, and Chemistry

  • Successful completion of a recognised Diploma in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75
  • Successful completion of a recognised Diploma in a related field with a CGPA below 2.75 and minimum 3 years (36 months) of working experience in the related field

  • Malaysian candidates: MUET : Band 3
  • International candidates: IELTS : 5.5
  • TOEFL PBT : 550

  • Other qualifications will be assessed and referred for approval on a case-by-case basis
