The Bachelor of Dental Technology (Hons) programme at AIMST University is designed to develop skilled dental technologists equipped with the knowledge and practical skills required to contribute to advancements in oral healthcare. The programme integrates theoretical foundations with hands-on training, covering areas ranging from biomedical sciences to modern dental technology. Through practical experience in advanced dental facilities and guidance from experienced faculty members, students develop the competencies needed to excel in the dental technology field. Emphasising interdisciplinary learning, the programme encourages collaboration with dental students to enhance teamwork and prepare graduates for professional challenges. Upon completion, graduates are equipped to pursue careers in dental technology, including the design and fabrication of dental prostheses, dentures, and other dental solutions that support patient care and innovation in the healthcare industry

Entry Requirement

  • Minimum CGPA of 2.50 in 3 subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics

  • Minimum Grade C in 3 subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics

  • Pass with Grade B in 5 subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Additional Mathematics

  • Minimum CGPA of 2.50 in AIMST Matriculation, Foundation in Science or Pre-Medical course (minimum 1 year in the same accredited institution) in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics

  • Minimum CGPA of 2.50 in AIMST Foundation in Science, Foundation in Science or Pre-Medical course (minimum 1 year in the same accredited institution) in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics

  • Successful completion of Diploma in Health Sciences (minimum 5 semesters or 2½ years in the same accredited institution) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
  • Successful completion of Diploma in Dental Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.75

  • Minimum average of 65% in 3 subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics

  • Minimum aggregate or average of 65% in 3 subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics, or minimum ATAR of 65 including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics

  • Minimum 25 points with at least 2 Science subjects or Mathematics at Higher Level (HL), 1 Science subject at Standard Level (SL), and a minimum score of 3 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics

  • Pass with credits in 5 subjects at SPM/O-Level including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and 1 other subject
  • Pass with Grade B in 4 UEC subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and 1 other subject
