The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme at AIMST University is designed to prepare students for a professional career in dentistry by providing comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in the evaluation, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of oral cavity diseases and disorders. The five-year programme focuses on developing proficient dental practitioners through modern dental education approaches aligned with international standards.   • Minimum CGPA of 3.00 in AIMST Matriculation in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics

  • Minimum CGPA of 3.00 in AIMST Foundation in Science, Foundation in Science or Pre-Medical course (minimum 1 year in the same accredited institution) in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics

  • Minimum average of 80% in 3 subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics

  • Minimum aggregate or average of 80% in 3 subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics, or minimum ATAR of 80 including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics

  • Minimum 30 points with at least 2 Science subjects or Mathematics at Higher Level (HL), 1 Science subject at Standard Level (SL), and a minimum score of 4 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics

  • Successful completion of a Degree in Medical Sciences with a minimum CGPA of 3.30 for a 5-year undergraduate programme or 3.50 for a 4-year undergraduate programme
  • Successful completion of a Degree in Arts or Humanities with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 for a 5-year undergraduate programme or 4.00 for a 4-year undergraduate programme, and 3 Grade Cs in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics at SPM or equivalent, or an accredited bridging course

  • Pass with Grade B in 5 subjects at SPM/O-Level including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and 1 other subject
  • Pass with Grade B4 in 4 UEC subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and 1 other subject
  • Applicants must pass an aptitude test, interview or university entrance examination as required
  • Malaysian citizens seeking employment in the public sector must fulfil the Public Services Commission of Malaysia (SPA) requirements
  • Applicants with offences affecting the human body, serious dishonesty, serious physical or mental disorders, or serious communicable diseases are not eligible
  • Short-listed applicants must undergo a medical examination, be free from communicable diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis, and complete Hepatitis B immunisation
