Foundation in Science at AIMST University

Description

The Foundation in Science programme at AIMST University is designed to prepare students for direct entry into Year 1 of an undergraduate degree at the university. Subject to meeting the specific entry requirements, graduates who successfully complete the Foundation programme qualify for admission to AIMST University or other Malaysian universities, as it is an MQA-accredited programme. Structured over one year and divided into three semesters, the programme incorporates a balanced assessment comprising 50% continuous assessment and 50% final examination while exposing students to fundamental academic subjects delivered in English. Assessment methods include class tests, end-of-semester examinations, practical assignments, comprehensive reports, problem-based learning sessions, collaborative projects, and presentations to ensure a thorough evaluation of students' progress and understanding. With its supportive learning environment, the programme enables students to pursue their academic aspirations effectively while facilitating seamless academic progression towards future degree programmes

To pursue a degree course in Medicine, Dentistry & Pharmacy: At least Grade B in five subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and one other subject
To pursue a degree course in Dental Technology: At least Grade C in five subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and one other subject
To pursue a degree course in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Sciences & Physiotherapy: Credits in five subjects including Mathematics, two Science subjects, and two other subjects
To pursue a degree course in Nursing: Credits in five subjects including Bahasa Malaysia, Mathematics, Science (General Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics), and two other subjects
To pursue a degree course in Engineering: Credits in five subjects including Physics, Mathematics, and three other subjects
