The Master of Social Science (M.Soc.Sc.) in Psychology provides a comprehensive modern curriculum that equips students with advanced professional and research skills. It emphasises Research Methodology and Statistics for data analysis and interpretation, and offers cutting-edge modules including Digital Technologies in Psychology, Psychology of Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Ethics in Psychology, Advanced Cognitive Psychology, Personality Development and Assessment, Psychology of Life Coaching and Mentoring, as well as Social and Cultural Psychology. The programme includes a comprehensive research project to strengthen practical research skills, recognises prior experiential learning through APEL A entry, and integrates industry experience via internships and collaborations with leading organisations. It prepares graduates for diverse careers in clinical settings, organisational development, educational psychology and other related fields with a strong ethical foundation and up-to-date professional tools.

Entry Requirement

  • Successful completion of a relevant Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with CGPA 2.50, or a CGPA of 2.00 accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment
  • candidates from non-Psychology degrees with CGPA 2.50 must have at least 45 credits of prerequisite Psychology modules or a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, or other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government and accepted by the HEP Senate.
