It features experienced faculty (Biomedical Scientists, Medical Practitioners, Ophthalmic Surgeons), integrates real-world-aligned coursework and projects with mentorship from academics and industry practitioners, covers basic sciences, clinical studies and advanced optometric care, offers hands-on training in internal and external clinics (e.g., Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara), and prepares graduates for careers in private practice, retail, hospital eye departments and multinational optical companies.

Entry Requirement

  • Minimum CGPA 2.33 in Science stream

  • Minimum 3Cs in Science subjects

  • Minimum B6 in 3 Science/Mathematics subjects

  • Successful completion of a Science Foundation/Pre-U programme with minimum CGPA 2.33, including passes in at least 3 subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Mathematics) and minimum 1-year duration at the same institution

  • Successful completion of a relevant Diploma programme in Opticianry/Optical Dispensing or Science discipline with minimum CGPA 2.50

  • Successful completion of a relevant Bachelor Degree programme in Health or Pure/Applied Sciences with minimum CGPA 2.75

  • Equivalent Science qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
