The Master of Education by Research equips educators with essential research skills and prepares them for leadership roles in academia or industry through a research-focused programme. It offers flexible timetabling and multi-campus access to suit working educators, and adopts the “Industry into Classroom” approach to provide real-world project experience. The programme features a multicultural learning environment with students from over 90 nationalities and is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency and the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. Spanning two years, it covers Research Methodology and Statistics and Data Analysis in the first year, with project completion in the second year, preparing graduates for leadership positions in educational settings including children’s centers, extended schools and childminding networks.

Entry Requirement

Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a minimum CGPA of 2.75, or CGPA 2.50 subject to internal assessment, or CGPA 2.00 with at least 3 years working experience and internal assessment
candidates with non-education degrees must undergo prerequisite courses (Common Core Education foundation), as accepted by the HEP Senate or equivalent recognised qualifications.
