Description

The Bachelor of Medicine at Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia prepares graduates for professional registration in Malaysia and the United Kingdom. To obtain full registration with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC), graduates must complete a two-year housemanship in a Malaysian government hospital. Upon successful completion, they are eligible for full MMC registration. Graduates seeking full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) while serving in Malaysia must complete at least one year of housemanship at a GMC-approved hospital and obtain a Certificate of Experience, enabling application for full GMC registration.

Entry Requirement

  • Minimum 1 grade A (CGPA 4.0) and 2 grade B (CGPA 3.0) in Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics

  • Minimum 1 grade A (CGPA 4.0) and 2 grade B (CGPA 3.0) in Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics

  • Minimum 5 credits (2A2s) and 3B3s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Advanced Mathematics I and Advanced Mathematics II

  • Minimum CGPA of 3.75

  • Successful completion of a relevant Foundation / Pre-U programme with CGPA 3.75

  • Minimum average of 80% in six best Grade 12 subjects including required science subjects
