Description

The Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering)(Honours) equips students with the knowledge and skills to analyse, design, and develop technological systems involving motion and energy. Graduates work with systems ranging from micro-mechanical devices to large turbines, addressing challenges in power generation, transport, material processing, and water supply. The programme develops expertise in component and system design, manufacturing processes, plant operations, maintenance, consulting, and research and development. In the first year, students study core engineering subjects alongside other disciplines, including physics, chemistry, and mathematics, building a strong foundation. Graduates are prepared for versatile careers across diverse mechanical and engineering industries.

Entry Requirement

  • Minimum 2 grade B (CGPA 3.0) and grade C+ (CGPA 2.33) in any 3 subjects

  • Minimum of CC/D in any 3 subjects

  • Minimum 5 credits (2B4s) and 3B5s
