The Diploma in Aquaculture at Curtin Malaysia is a two-year programme focused on aquaculture farming and management. It equips students with scientific knowledge and specialised skills in breeding, production, processing, and aquaculture system design, while emphasising food security. Learning is delivered through hands-on farm-based activities at Curtin Malaysia. Students develop foundational academic, numeracy, and information technology skills alongside studies in fish biology and water quality. Advanced learning covers fish breeding, nutrition, feed, and pond construction. Industrial training provides practical industry experience, preparing graduates for careers as aquaculture entrepreneurs, technicians, researchers, research assistants, and aquafeed production officers in modern aquatic industries.

Pass with minimum of 3 credits including Mathematics and one science subject

Successful completion of a relevant Certificate programme in a related field (Level 3 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) and SPM with 1 credit
or a Certificate (Level 3 MQF) in a related field with minimum CGPA 2.00, or its equivalent

Minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject or equivalent

Minimum 3 credits (3Bs) in relevant academic subjects,including Mathematics and one science subject
