A Diploma in Teaching of English as a Second Language or TESL is a program offered for 7 semesters or equivalent to 2 years 6 months. This is the first step towards a career as an English language teacher. Diploma in TESL is a course designed specifically for those who want to teach English as a second language. This program aims to achieve competent graduates with professional knowledge and outstanding teaching skills in the field of TESL. Our graduates become effective English communicators with knowledge of contextual and global TESL challenges.

Practicum

Entry Requirement

Pass with minimum of 3 credits

Successful completion of a relevant Certificate (Level 3, Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF) or equivalent) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.

Minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subject in STPM or its equivalent.

Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Government of Malaysia.
