Dentists have the opportunity to provide benevolent care in the community by helping people enhance and maintain their oral health.; The modules taught in this degree programme are an integration of biomedical, clinical, and behavioral sciences, with particular emphasis on human anatomy, craniofacial biology, physiology, biochemistry, and microbiology. Apart from that, the study of pathology, pharmacology, human organ systems, associated disease processes, emergency procedures, infection control, oral health diseases, biomaterials, operative dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery, public health and community dentistry make up a large portion of the syllabus.

Entry Requirement

  • Minimum grades 3B, 2A1C, or 1A1B1C in 3 subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.

  • Minimum of grades 3B, 2A1C, or 1A1B1C in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.

  • Minimum 5 credits (5B4s) including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Add Maths

  • Minimum CGPA 3.00 in 3 subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics, and at least grade B in 5 subjects at SPM or equivalent, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and 1 other subject.

  • Successful completion of a relevant Foundation / Pre-University programme with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 in three (3) subjects (Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics) and at least Grade B in five (5) subjects at SPM or its equivalent, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and one (1) other subject.

  • Successful completion of a Diploma in Health Science with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 and at least Grade B in five (5) subjects at SPM or equivalent: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and one (1) other subject
  • or a Diploma in Microbiology from UiTM with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.

  • Successful completion of a relevant Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum CGPA of 4.0 for a 4-year Arts/Humanities programme, or a minimum CGPA of 3.3 for a 5-year Medical Sciences programme.

  • Minimum CGPA of 3.0 (4-year Medical Sciences programme)
