Description

Medical Imaging or Radiography is the science of taking images of parts of the internal body to diagnose diseases and ailments, and this includes X-rays, ultrasounds, CT Scans and MRI's. This programme is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with scientific precision equipment and have a keen interest in diagnostic medicine. Students will learn a broad range of biophysical and health sciences, and will thus acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of radio imaging equipment and procedures. This exciting programme will cover a diverse range of subjects, including basic anatomy, physiology, the fundamentals of medical imaging technology, basic computers, basic microbiology and pathology, basic biochemistry, medical and radiation physics, basics of pharmacology, radiographic photography, and radiographic techniques.

Entry Requirement

  • Pass with five (5) credits in Mathematics, one Science subject (Biology / Physics / Chemistry / General Science / Applied Science), and any other three (3) subjects, including Bahasa Melayu and/or English if obtained as credits, with a pass in Bahasa Melayu and English.

  • Pass with five (5) Grade C in Mathematics, one Science subject (Biology / Physics / Chemistry / General Science / Applied Science), and any other three (3) subjects, including Bahasa Melayu and/or English if obtained at Grade C, with a pass in Bahasa Melayu or English.

  • Successful completion of a relevant Certificate programme (Level 3, MQF) in Health Science with minimum CGPA 2.75.

  • Other recognized qualification of equivalence
