Description

Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours programme which is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) will give you the knowledge and practical skills you need to enter the pharmacy profession. Throughout this 4-year Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours degree programme, you will be taught the fundamentals underpinning the use of medicine, including the physiology of the human body, the effects of medicines on human body and how medicines are developed and designed. You will become familiar with the professional aspects of pharmacy through a variety of placements with our extensive links with the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, and community pharmacy. In the fourth year, you will develop your research skills by completing a research project under the supervision of a dedicated staff in your chosen pharmacy area. Throughout the programme, you will be trained in communication skill to ensure that you can communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals. Your training will also include problem solving, decision making and developing the skills you need to adapt to any changes that may occur during your career.

Entry Requirement

  • Minimum of grades BBB, ABC, or AAC in 3 subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics, with a minimum grade B in Chemistry.

  • Minimum of grades BBB, ABC, or AAC in 3 subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics, with a minimum grade B in Chemistry.

  • Minimum 5 credits (5B4s) including Biology and Chemistry and Physics and Advanced Mathematics and Any other subject

  • Minimum grades BBB, ABC, or AAC in 3 subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics, with a minimum grade B in Chemistry.

  • Successful completion of a Foundation in Science programme (minimum 1 year, completed in the same institution) with grades BBB, ABC, or AAC in 3 subjects: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics, with a minimum grade B in Chemistry
  • and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with 5 Bs in 5 subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and one other subject
  • or General Certificate of Education Ordinary (‘O’) Levels with 5 Bs in 5 subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and one other subject
  • or Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with B4 in 3 subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Advanced Mathematics.

  • Successful completion of a Diploma in Pharmacy, Diploma in Health Sciences, or equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0), provided the programme is not less than five (5) semesters or 2½ years and completed in the same institution
  • and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least Grade B in Chemistry and two of Biology, Physics, or Mathematics, and credits in three (3) other subjects including English.

  • Equivalent to an average of 75% for 3 subjects:Biology
