Description

MAHSA’s MBBS programme is a 5-year programme. It is divided into 2 phases, phase 1 comprises years 1 and 2 and phase 2 years 3 to 5. The Phase 1 programme is largely conducted at the MAHSA University campus with some exposure to clinical medicine at Hospital Tanjung Karang.; The Phase 2 programme is the clinical phase and is almost entirely hospital and clinic based. The hospitals used are Hospital Sungai Buloh, Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Hospital Tanjung Karang. Students are also exposed to clinical training at Klinik Kesihatan AU2, Rawang Perdana, Taman Ehsan and Taman Medan. This ensures an eclectic mix of clinical training in major referral centers, community hospitals and primary care clinics.

Entry Requirement

  • Minimum of grades BBB, ABC, or AAC in 3 subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.

  • Minimum 5 credits (5Bs) including (Chemistry & Biology & Physics & Mathematics & Additional Mathematics)

  • Science/Pre-Medical course (minimum 1 year) with CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0) in 3 subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics
  • and at least 5 B’s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and 1 other subject at SPM/O-Level or equivalent.

  • Successful completion of a Science/Pre-Medical course (minimum 1 year) with CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0) in 3 subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics
  • and at least 5 B’s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and 1 other subject at SPM/O-Level or equivalent.

  • Successful completion of a Diploma in Health Sciences (minimum 5 semesters / 2.5 years) with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) in three (3) subjects: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, with at least Grade B in each
  • and at least 3 credits in English, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and one (1) other subject at SPM, O-Level, or its equivalent.

  • Minimum aggregate/average of 80% or equivalent of grade B in any three (3) subjects: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics
  • or a minimum ATAR of 80, provided the subjects include Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.

  • Minimum of 30 points, including at least two (2) Science subjects or Mathematics at Higher Level (HL) and one (1) Science subject at Standard Level (SL), with a minimum score of 4 in each of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.

  • Minimum aggregate/average of 80% or equivalent of grade B in any three (3) subjects: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics
  • or a minimum ATAR of 80, provided the subjects include Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Health, Pure, or Applied Sciences with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 for a 5-year medical programme
  • or a Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Humanities with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 for a 5-year medical programme.
