Early Childhood Education (ECE) has been gaining increased recognition of its importance by parents and educationists alike. Quality training programmes have been developed over the years to form knowledgeable and skilled early childhood educators.The Diploma in Early Childhood Education programme covers five integral core knowledge areas which aim to provide comprehensive training to early childhood educators. Some of the ECE specialities that are covered in this programme are child development, creativity through music, movement, art and drama, language and literacy, health, safety and nutrition, infant and toddler care, as well as emotional, cognitive and language development in early childhood.
