Description

This BSc Finance and Data Analytics programme explores the interface between finance and data analytics, to meet the growing demand for financial practitioners who are well-equipped with both core knowledge of the financial markets as well as skills in data analytics.Besides learning key financial theories and concepts such as assets valuation, portfolio management and risk management, students will be exposed to contemporary topics such as blockchain technology, big data, machine learning, fintech and cryptocurrencies. In addition, students enrolled in this programme will learn programming languages such as Python to perform data analysis and financial modelling.

Entry Requirement

  • Minimum GPA of 2.67 in three (2) subjects

  • Minimum of CCC in any subject

  • Maximum 26 points including a B6 in UEC Mathematics and B4 in UEC English (5 subjects not less than B grade)

  • Heriot-Watt University Malaysia Foundation in Business or Science: Successful completion of a Foundation programme with a minimum C average.
  • Foundation: Successful completion of a Foundation programme with a minimum CGPA of 2.5

  • Minimum ATAR 65

  • Minimum of 27 points in six (6) subjects.
