The Foundation in Science at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia is a one-year full-time preparatory programme designed to provide students with the essential scientific knowledge, academic skills and confidence required for successful progression into undergraduate science, engineering and technology-related degree programmes. This programme covers core subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, computing and academic English, ensuring students develop strong analytical, problem-solving and quantitative skills needed for university-level study. Entry Requirement

Pass with minimum of 5 credits including Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry and Additional Mathematics or equivalent global qualifications.

Minimum of 26 points in six (6) subjects, including at least Grade 6 in English, Mathematics, and Physics or Chemistry, and at least Grade 5 in Additional Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry.

The minimum English language requirement for entry to this programme is IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent) with no score lower than 5.0.

Conditional offers will be made to students with forecast results. Advance standing may be available for those with appropriate pre-university qualifications. Final results need to be submitted before programme commencement.
