The Foundation in Business at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia is a one-year full-time preparatory programme designed to provide students with a strong academic and practical foundation for progression into undergraduate studies in business and related disciplines. This programme equips students with essential knowledge in key areas such as business studies, economics, accounting, mathematics and academic English, while also developing critical thinking, communication, research and independent learning skills required at university level. Delivered in a supportive learning environment, the programme emphasises structured academic guidance, continuous assessment and skills development to help students transition smoothly from secondary education to higher education. Upon successful completion and meeting the required progression criteria, students may progress directly into the first year of a wide range of undergraduate degree programmes at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia, including business, management, finance, accounting, economics and other related fields, preparing them for future academic and professional success.
