The Bachelor in Information Technology (Data Analytics) (Honours) at HELP University is a specialised three-year undergraduate degree designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to analyse complex data and support data-driven decision-making in business and technology environments. The programme focuses on industry-relevant analytics methods and tools, building a strong foundation in statistical and mathematical principles, machine learning, data mining and business intelligence to address real-world challenges and help organisations achieve competitive advantage. Students gain practical experience through projects, internships and a final year capstone, while developing critical thinking, problem-solving, communication and technical competencies that prepare them for careers as data analysts, business analysts, data engineers, data scientists and other analytics-related roles. HELP University’s data analytics curriculum also emphasises the integration of theory with practice, enabling graduates to independently understand, work through and solve interdisciplinary problems in both business and IT contexts.

Entry Requirement

  • Minimum grade C (CGPA 2.0) in any two (2) subjects in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent, with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

  • Minimum CGPA of 2.0 in Matriculation or Foundation studies, with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

  • Successful completion of Matriculation or Foundation studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, and a credit in Mathematics at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or its equivalent.

  • Successful completion of a Diploma in Computing (Level 4, MQF) or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
  • or a Diploma in Science and Technology (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.75.
